SARAH ORCHARD

Art has always been an integral part of my life.

At the age of fifty I was able to complete a long awaited foundation course and HNC/D in Fine Art at Salisbury College as was. My work-base is home but I tutor art classes and day workshops plus participate in Hampshire Open Studio yearly! I illustrate and write my own children's books; and am embracing the development in my artist world!

My love of watercolours has been constant, with their wonderful luminosity and transparency; the more I work with them the more I am addicted!

I use charcoal or pen and watercolours, resulting in an illustrative feel giving vitality within my work! I am inspired by movement in the human form both people in crowds or individuals.

I am also excited by Quentin Blake’s style.
